For 2 years Steve has been the Change Manager working for Chantier Davie on Docking Work Period of HMCS Toronto and for last 6 months also took back on role of Lead Scheduler for the re-baseline of deliverables.

Previously Steve worked as Scheduling Specialist Advanced and Lead Scheduler for Babcock Canada and Chantier Davie on the Extended Docking Work Period (EDWP) Programs of HMCS Chicoutimi, HMCS Corner Brook, In-service Project of HMCS Victoria and the Docking Work Period of HMCS St John’s.

Steve is an expert in preparing and maintaining schedules of project and/or program activities and events (taking account of dependencies and resource requirements). Proficient in gathering independent evidence to confirm that the information from projects and/or program is valid and will achieve their aims. Expert knowledge of scheduling toolsets and methodologies, schedule management, resource management, consolidated planning in complex situations, application of establishing critical paths and the monitoring of these in complex situations Proficient knowledge of timescale risk analysis techniques, proficient knowledge of contract management, and competent in project management techniques.

These roles have encompassed Technical reviews of Particularized Maintenance Repair Specifications (PMRS) and Engineering Change (EC) work packages, planning, estimating, scheduling, review of job folders, management of personnel.

Prior to becoming the Scheduling Specialist Advanced Steve assisted the Schedule team in developing the Contractual EDWP program in Primavera P6 in 2015, with their subsequent re-baselines every 6 months of P6 level 2 schedules and in producing the level 3 schedules for TM3 Battery Install and TM4 Undocking. Steve also produced numerous schedules, logic diagrams and resource profiles for Commissioning Manager.

 

From August 2009 until August 2012 Steve worked for several Vancouver Island First Nations as Internet, Telephone, and Software specialist Technologist.

Steve also worked for Tseycum First Nation as Fisheries Officer, Economic Development Officer, Maintenance Manager and Community Support Worker. Obtained Funding and Training then Project Managed the Habitat Restoration for Beach fronting Tseycum First Nation - this became Phase 1 of 3. Since 1987 has been involved in a wide range of activities related to Warship & Submarine Build, Reactivation, Canadianisation, RWP, in-service, EDWP and DWP programs. These activities have included program and Project Management, Planning & Scheduling, Cost estimation, Material & Logistic Support, Systems Engineering, Configuration and Material Certification, Waterfront Support, Lockout management and support, Software management and support and Commissioning of Systems.

 

During this time, he has been an employee of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), Member of Royal Signals Territorial Army, BAE Systems Submarines, BAE Systems Canada, Babcock Canada and Chantier Davie.

 Experience encompasses systems fitted to Phantom fighter/bombers, Nimrod Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft, Battlefield Communications systems in use with the British Territorial Army, Batch 2 & 3 Type 22 frigates, Type 23 frigates, Sandown class Single-role Mine hunters, Wave Class Tankers, Fort Class Replenishment Ships, Vanguard Class Submarines and Upholder/Victoria Class Submarines (Build, Reactivation, Canadianisation, RWP, in-service and EDWP’s) and Halifax Class Frigate DWP.

 

Steve has dual Citizenship – British and Canadian and also hold NATO and Canadian Secret, Controlled goods and ITAR clearances.

 

Possess excellent Computer skills: which include all the Microsoft Office packages including writing Visual Basic Macros, Adobe Acrobat Pro including writing Java Script routines, Project planning and scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, XERTransfer and Qlikview). Superuser and trainer of WinSTETS lockout software and can customize and write reports using Crystal reports. Received advanced training from Canadian DND in Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis.
